Shredderz

The Shredderz Goggles are a product designed in my HCDE 318 class. This product is an augmented reality ski goggle meant for skiers and snowboarders to progress their skills and share their progress to online communities. The user does this with a companion app to the goggles.

Design Process

Our design process started from the ground up. We first began by developing our user group, the audience. The user group we chose were skiers and snowboarders. From there, we began conducting user research, created personas and user journey maps. Then we narrowed down our design efforts and created design requirements to narrow down our scope and determine what we would like to see in the product. With this, we created storyboards and then developed the idea to incorporate augmented reality ski goggles. After that idea, we changed our design quite a bit and began designing from there. We started with an information architecture to show what we need for the app and the goggles. We began creating paper prototypes as a preliminary design, and then created annotated wireframes to digitize the prototypes. We finally ended up with high fidelity mockups of our final design.
