Accessibility Student Assistant
June 2016 - December 2016.
My job at the Access Technology Center as a student assistant consisted of many vendor collaborations and helping manage the accessibility of products purchased by the University. Web Accessibility is incredibly important. Most companies should implement it in their development. The companies working with the University of Washington must comply to the federal ADA guidelines, and that is where I as an accessibility assistant was able to help the company developers. I learned a lot about not just web accessibility, but universal design and web development as well.
